Program in Media Arts and Design

Emphasizing on the theorization of media in certain topics engaging in art, design technology, and media culture, Media Arts and Design proposes a training program for students to become media scholars and practitioners, whose creativity invents unique languages of aesthetic expression in critical communication methods. By theorizing disciplines from multiple areas of study and knowledge from both local and international levels, media students are expected to gain capacity of understanding contemporary everyday life of people, and also of society at large. They realize an importance of the investigation of analytical ideas, which is catalyst for new bodies of knowledge, where as their social consciousness is gradually fabricated to reach social need critically, artistically, and economically. Under an affluent learning atmosphere emphasizing on student centered learning process provided by MAD, the course works are design to coach media students to accomplish their careers by practices.
